Your Voice — Results of the PPI Online Needs Survey

You may recall that the Procurement Partnership Initiative (PPI) Online Needs Survey was launched on 29 January 2010 and remained online until 10 March 2010.

We appreciate receiving your thoughts, opinions and expectations about the PPI and the contemplated functionality of its website and facility.  These have been synthesized into a report that is now accessible through this link.

Once again, thank you for your contributed ideas which could help in developing a useful and responsive platform for knowledge exchange in a host of procurement topics.  We look forward to further interaction.

Not exactly sure if this is appropriate, but would recommend a topic that deals with ACCOUNTABILITY within the Agency for timely decision making. The backlog of pending procurement award decisions is enormous and growing. Many instances of more than 12 months from date of proposal submission. Simply inexcusable! Both the NGO and contractor community of USAID implementing partners are experiencing record delays in award decisions. Then net effect, other than delaying the delivery of anticipated results to the beneficiaries, is indirect cost escalation and continuing deterioration of respect for agency personnel. Remember Harry S. Truman – “the buck stops here” – possibly a motto for OAA?
